What is Coworking: Discover a new way of working

The experience of people who use coworking as a workplace. We’ll show you what coworking is.

Every day we see meetings being held in cafés, snack bars, restaurants, at the airport and even on the beach. The possibilities are endless. The internet came along and Wi-Fi and 3Gs, 4Gs and now 5Gs have only increased the possibilities.

Some companies have done their sums again and found that the advantages of allowing Home Office or Coworking are immense.

Partiu Ser Nômade has been talking about and showing this modality for a long time… Even before the pandemic, we believed in remote work and the various possibilities of workplaces: Coworking is even in our slogan.

Benefits for all who use it

Camila Veloso is an architect at DMA Casas @dmacasas and works in a coworking space in the city of Vespasiano, Minas Gerais, with her partner, Débora Marani. She says that the space where she works was the first of its kind in the city and the architectural project had their participation.

According to her, the project is divided into rooms where people have the autonomy to settle in the way they believe is best. In this way, they have a personalized space.

Among the advantages, Camila mentions those common to all those who choose coworking, such as: having a ready-made structure, where you don’t have to worry about air conditioning, internet, telephone service, cleaning and security. “You enjoy a structure without having to manage it”.

In addition, she says that coworking offers a shared kitchen structure, meeting rooms, an outdoor area and a reception. “You can have a bigger structure, at a lower price and with less work.”

Another great Coworking facility that she enjoys is the concierge service. Even if she or her partner is not in the office, she can use the reception services. So if she needs a client to pick up or deliver a document or project, she doesn’t necessarily have to be there at the time.

Networking: a pleasant surprise at Coworking

Camila goes beyond the common advantages. For her, networking is one of the great advantages of working in coworking. “People here end up consuming the products and services of other companies that are here. It ends up becoming a referral chain”.

What’s more, she says that when you use the common spaces, the interaction between people becomes very pleasant.

When the location becomes the solution

Camila says that the infrastructure is good in every respect. “I’m in a place that solves my life. If I’m not in the office, they receive me, they receive my clients. You can have security, privacy, networking and still have a good location.”

Asked about possible disadvantages, Camila says that for her type of business, where it is compatible with the opening hours, there are no disadvantages. But she knows that for some other types of business, the structure wouldn’t be suitable in terms of opening hours and opening on weekends and holidays.

Coworking as an ally of the Home Office

Lawyer Bárbara Botega says that her company is small with few employees. Home office usually works very well. She uses coworking facilities for meeting rooms.

Among the advantages she sees are relationships, cost savings and the outsourcing of problems (internet, electricity, telephone). ” Coworking reduces costs with reception, space, since the meeting room is part of the package, guaranteeing a good location, security and comfort.”

Although she thinks the infrastructure is excellent and serves her well, Bárbara says that the disadvantages for her include privacy and status. And that if she could implement anything, it would be greater care at meetings, such as a coffee and water service for those involved.
